Gorgeous sunrise on Saturday - it started raining a couple hours after I took this picture and it hasn't stopped since.
I did run on Saturday; the weather had changed back to hot and humid so it was 72 degrees with 100% humidity. Jeff ran with me and we did three miles - it didn't go as well as I'd hoped, but in looking back part of that may have been this cold sneaking up on my immune system. And also the weather. Bah.
The sad thing is that on Monday we got our first cold front of the season - it was in the 40s! Of course we got rain with that cold front, so no running even if I felt better. My gosh, it just keeps raining and raining here. The ground is so saturated that it instantly starts pooling, even with our sump pump working hard in the back yard. Luckily our house is on a concrete foundation and we have a long way to go before the water would even touch it, but this is getting ridiculous:
One of the skellingos needs a water rescue...
SO. MUCH. MUD.
I'm hoping it will stop raining so we can enjoy running in these cooler temps before they return to hot and humid, because I'm sure they will - we never get a solid season (summer excepting) without a dramatic change in the temperature. So maybe I'll get to run on Thursday or Friday? I am planning on going to my workout Thursday at the very least.
