A hat that I made for my brother who recently moved to Germany; I called the hat Mütze für Bruder which means - brace yourselves - Cap for Brother. I know, so clever. It's made of Icelandic yarn called Léttlopi and was brought back from Iceland as a gift for me when my brother and his wife visited Iceland last year, so I figured it was only right that I knit up that yarn into a gift for him...does that mean I regifted their gift?
The pattern is something I came up with on my own - well, the basic hat pattern is everywhere, but I got a little adventurous and did a bit of fair isle in between the stripes. Fair isle is a stranded colorwork technique - obviously mine is very simple, but I like how it added some interest to an otherwise plain beanie.

Seeing those pictures reminds me that I haven't shown you my new haircut:
About a month ago I had most of my layers cut out, and ended up with this! I wasn't sure about it at first, but it's grown on me and I think I'll keep the style. I can still put it in a pony tail for running and workouts, which is pretty much my number one requirement of a hair style.

Here's a couple of Logan pictures from Saturday's breakfast:
WHAT THE HECK, THIS ISN'T PUMPKIN BREAD!
*WINK*
He was full of funny faces and is talking a lot - we had a good time playing with him, plus it was great to see him feeling so good after that awful ear infection.

Finally, I had to screenshot this - what are the odds these two words would get played, and in the correct order?
Armpits. I'm easily entertained.
Have a great weekend!
