2018 Knitting Projects!Easy Weight Loss

I didn't get as many items knitted in 2018 as in previous years because of the renovation - there was too much dust and chaos happening to try and knit.  So while I only completed 15 projects, I did make some headway on other items, which you'll also see in this post.

Of course I knitted a lot of hats:
From top left:  Seahawkish, MLJ Wurm, Kendall for Erica x 2, Taste the rainbow, Painted Patagonia, Don't Be a Square, Daddio.

Socks are always a favorite:
From top left:  Mini Jelly Belly, Jelly Belly, Taste the Rainbow, Heartbreaker, So Pink.

My baby knitting dropped off dramatically:

Big Boy Hat (made using yarn from Logan's mama)
Renegade Mittens, which could also be named One and Done, because using heavy yarn on small needles (necessary to make a tight weave for warm mittens) hurt my hands.

This year I'm introducing yet another category to my year-end roundup - unfinished projects.

I present to you sock:
This sock is about to go on eharmony to find a mate if I don't knit it one soon.

Almost finished socks:
I love these but I had to set them aside temporarily in order to finish other projects.

Abandoned sweater:
I'm not sure this will be picked back up anytime soon.  The yarn is not fun to knit with, and it's a small gauge so it was taking forever.  I do like the pattern, though, and might see if I can knit it with heavier yarn.

Almost finished sweater:
Pictured:  back and front panels - I just have the sleeves to do and then whipstitch it together.  This is using bulky yarn and it's gone fairly quickly.

Pillow top that I'm afraid to sew a back onto:
Sew onto knitting?  I know it's done, but I haven't gotten the courage to attempt it yet.

As you can see, I kept myself busy last year with knitting, and I'm off to a good start with more projects for 2019.  I don't want to jinx myself, but I would really love to have some success with adult-sized sweaters; I think I'm on my way with the blue and gray one, FINGERS CROSSED.  I also have some hats in mind that use colorwork, which is something I've only dabbled in a bit.  Really, it's a mystery to me what I'll have to show you next January, but it's fun to imagine the possibilities.
